HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SESSION

For best results, schedule your spray tan

    2 days before your event.

    Before Your Appointment

    • Exfoliate and complete shaving or waxing 24–48 hours before your appointment.
    • Plan manicures, pedicures, lash appointments, and hair coloring before your spray tan (ideally the day before).
    • To achieve the best results, avoid showering, sweating, swimming, or getting wet for at least 4 hours after your session and minimize excess moisture during the first 24 hours.

    Sunburn Notice

If you’ve had a sunburn within the last 6–8 weeks, please wait until your skin has fully healed before booking your spray tan.

Spray tanning over sunburned or healing skin can result in uneven color, patchiness, and premature fading. Skin that has been exposed to sun damage needs time to recover before DHA can develop properly.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SESSION

When You Arrive for Your Spray Tan

    • Please arrive with clean, dry skin and no products on your skin. This includes lotion, oils, deodorant (especially spray deodorants or Dove brand deodorant), serums, perfume, makeup, or self-tanner.
    • Wear loose-fitting, dark-colored clothing, as some bronzer may transfer. It typically washes out of most fabrics.
    • You may wear a bathing suit, underwear, or choose to tan topless—whatever you are most comfortable with.
    • Wear flip-flops or open-toed footwear to protect your feet after your appointment.
    • If rain is expected, bring an umbrella or raincoat to avoid getting wet immediately after your session.
    • To prevent transfer, avoid sitting directly on leather or light-colored cloth car seats. Placing a towel down is recommended.
    • To help extend the life of your tan, avoid prolonged exposure to hot baths, long showers, pools, and chlorine, as these can cause your tan to fade more quickly.

    SPRAY TAN AFTER CARE:

    24 HOURS AFTER YOUR TAN

The first 24 hours after your spray tan are essential for achieving the best results and extending the life of your glow.

    • Regular Developing Solution: Wait 12–14 hours before rinsing (depending on your desired depth of color) to allow your tan to fully develop.
    • Express Solution: Rinse after 3–4 hours as directed.

    Your First Rinse

    • Rinse gently using lukewarm water and your hands only until the cosmetic bronzer runs clear.
    • Do not use soap, scrubs, or exfoliating products during your first rinse.
    • Pat skin dry—avoid rubbing with a towel.

    To Maintain Your Tan

    • Moisturize twice daily using an oil-free / mineral oil–free moisturizer.
    • Exercise and sweating may cause your tan to fade faster, especially while wearing tight clothing.
    • Avoid prolonged exposure to hot tubs, swimming pools, ocean water, and long hot baths/showers, as these can shorten the life of your tan.
    • Avoid aerosol and oil-based sunscreens, as they may affect your spray tan. We recommend using a water-resistant lotion sunscreen instead.
